Experience: I'm and up and coming House DJ currently working on becoming a club DJ and finding a residency with one pretty soon. I'm new to DJ'ing , but it has been my passion since I was young and I'm also an Audio Engineer, music is my life. I've been DJ'ing now for six months. Right now I do house party gigs, social functions, private parties, and have started working as an assistant DJ under my mentor DJ JRoq in Houston Texas. We currently spin @Club Swivel in Houston Texas on Saturday nights and she has been my mentor and has been guiding me along my journey. She is the club DJ, but allows me to spin for a few hours at a time on her nights. I am also working w/ DJ Boogie who hails from New Orleans, but relocated to Houston after Hurricane Katrina. I currently own a Vestax VCI 300 w/ Serato Itch software along with a pair of Beats by Dr. Dre headphones to go along w/my Mac Book Pro. I also have a Shure SM58 mic. I am saving up my gig money to purchase more equipment and am looking to snag a pair of Technics SL-1210MK5 Turntables and a Pioneer DJM-400 mixer. I have a pair of B52 speakers that should be coming in soon. Club Swivel already has their set up so I don't have to have speakers right now, but DJ Boogie lends me his b52's when I need em for gigs, and when I practice at home I use a pair of KRK Rokit rp8's.
