Experience: Started Djing in 1979 for Circle Disco, managing then owning.No beat mixing here, using BSR decks with slip Mats. In mid 80's took a break for around ten years.
Rebuilt new Disco Using CDs but disappointed due to skipping....always when the party was ewally rocking.
First Disco in New Zealand to use a dedicated Minidisc system using custom modified sony MDS-101s with fader srart.
Great no more skipping when the party started to rock. Still no pitch control for beat mixing. Built up computer unit using Numark DMC-1 & PCDJ blue/Red.
Around 5 yrs ago upgraded to VirtualDJ
My current setup uses Peavy DS-3001 speakers Bi-amped using Peuroux mos-fet amps, Sound is processed using Aphex Aural exciter, Bahringer ultracurve and ultradyne DSPs., my mixer is an American
