Experience: A music mixer that was a Christmas gift to myself, turned me into an aspiring DJ while I was a college student in the early part of 2003. I spent countless hours over that summer in the hopes of improving my skills so that I could take my passion for music and share it with other people. It was not a surprise to those around me, that someone with a natural affinity for music mastered the techniques of mixing and created his own style without any instruction or guidance. I was thankful to have picked up the basics of DJing quickly. However, in this form of art, the learning truly never ends.

I landed my first residency at a local college bar - Theodoors - that year. Soon after that, I was fortunate to earn residencies at many other area clubs. I’ve had the pleasure of performing at many venues and events throughout Ann Arbor, Detroit and in cities around the world. Since 2005, I’ve been the resident DJ on Thursdays & Saturdays at the legendary Necto nightclub in Ann Arbor, Michigan - holding down the largest weekly club night in Michigan. Every Saturday, you can catch me do a special one-hour long video mix along with the energetic voice of MC Yoda, who co-hosts the night with me. On Fridays, I head out to the hottest spot in Rochester Hills - The Hills Bar & Grille - to play a wide variety of eclectic music.

Since 2005, I’ve added visual creativity to my mixes by incorporating music videos at my club shows. It has enabled me to accomplish truly amazing mixes that please not only your auditory senses, but provide your brain with great eye candy! Using a combination of Rane Serato Scratch LIve and Pioneer DVJs, I’m able to create seamless mixes, with scratches and loop manipulation. The response to these shows has been incredible at each and every event!

Besides spinning live at clubs, I also remix tracks that are in high demand with some of the biggest names in the industry. It has allowed my mixing style to evolve over the years. Although I started out as a Hip-Hop DJ, I’ve fell in love with many genres of dance music and at any given show, you’ll catch me crossing paths with various genres - Pop, Hip Hop, House, Rock, Old-School Funk, Reggae and Dancehall. I enjoy using acapellas and instrumentals to cratively enhance songs and blend it on the fly with the most unexpected tracks together. Over the years, I’ve learned a lot of technical skills that have made me one of the better DJs you’ll come across. However, my biggest strength remains my ability to play the right track at any given moment. I’ve learned to entertain a crowd by simply playing the right song at the right time.

Having said all this, the best way to find out what I’m all about, is to listen to me live at a club!
